3/4 Hizb 45

Noah called for help. How blessed was the answer which he received. 75 We saved him and his people from the great distress, 76 and made his offspring the only ones to survive, 77 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations to come in later times: 78 "Peace and salutation to Noah among the nations!" 79 Verily, thus do We reward the doers of good 80 Lo! he is one of Our believing slaves. 81 Then the rest we overwhelmed in the Flood. 82 ۞ Abraham was of the same faith: 83 When he came unto his Lord with a whole heart; 84 When he said to his father (paternal uncle) and his people, “What do you worship?” 85 Is it false deities that you want to serve rather than Allah? 86 "Then what do you think about the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns, and all that exists)?" 87 And he cast a look at the stars 88 And said, "Indeed, I am [about to be] ill." 89 And they turned their backs on him and went away. (The pagans thought he would transmit the disease). 90 Then he turned to their gods and said, "Do you not eat? 91 What is [wrong] with you that you do not speak?" 92 And he turned upon them a blow with [his] right hand. 93 His people came rushing towards him, 94 He said, "How can you worship what you yourselves have carved 95 "But Allah has created you and your handwork!" 96 They said, "Build him a furnace, and throw him into the blazing fire!" 97 They plotted against him, but We brought humiliation upon them. 98 And he said (after his rescue from the fire): "Verily, I am going to my Lord. He will guide me!" 99 (And he prayed:) "O Lord, grant me a righteous son." 100 So We gave him the glad tidings of a forbearing boy. 101 and when he had reached the age of running with him, he said, 'My son, I see in a dream that I shall sacrifice thee; consider, what thinkest thou?' He said, 'My father, do as thou art bidden; thou shalt find me, God willing, one of the steadfast.' 102 But as soon as the two had surrendered themselves to [what they thought to be] the will of God, and [Abraham] had laid him down on his face, 103 We called out to him "O Abraham! 104 thou hast confirmed the vision; even so We recompense the good-doers. 105 Verily that! that was a trial manifest. 106 So, We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 108 "Peace be upon Abraham!" 109 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 110 truly, he was one of Our faithful servants. 111 And We gave him the good news of Isaac, a Prophet and among the righteous ones. 112 We blessed him and Isaac: but of their progeny are (some) that do right, and (some) that obviously do wrong, to their own souls. 113

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
