THUS, INDEED, did We bestow Our favour upon Moses and Aaron; 114 and We delivered both of them and their people from the great calamity. 115 And helped them, so that they became the victors; 116 And We gave them the clear Scripture; 117 And showed them the straight path, 118 And left (their remembrance) for posterity. 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 That is how We reward those who do good. 121 truly they were among Our faithful servants. 122 Elijah too was one of the messengers. 123 When he said unto his folk: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 124 Will you invoke Baal and forsake [God,] the best of artisans 125 "Allah, your Lord and Cherisher and the Lord and Cherisher of your fathers of old?" 126 But they called him a liar, therefore they shall most surely be brought up. 127 Except the chosen servants of Allah. 128 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations (to come) in later times: 129 "Peace be on Elijah and his people!" 130 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers, who perform good deeds totally for Allah's sake only - see V. 2:112). 131 for he was truly one of Our believing servants! 132 And indeed, Lot was among the messengers. 133 (Call to mind) when We delivered him and all his kinsfolk, 134 Except his wife among those who remained [with the evildoers]. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 And most surely you pass by them in the morning, 137 and at night. Will you then not understand? 138

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
