And assuredly We gave grace unto Musa and Harun. 114 and saved them and their people from great distress. 115 And helped them so that they became the victors. 116 and We gave them the Clear Book, 117 and showed them the Straight Way, 118 and preserved for them a good name among posterity. 119 Peace be upon Moosa and Haroon! 120 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 121 Lo! they are two of Our believing slaves. 122 And indeed, Elias was from among the messengers, 123 Behold, he said to his people, "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 124 Would you call on Baal and leave the best of creators, 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your ancestors of yore.” 126 But they gave him the lie: and therefore they will most surely be arraigned [on Judgment Day,] 127 Except the bondmen of Allah sincere. 128 And we left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 129 'Peace be upon Elias!' 130 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 131 He was one of Our believing servants. 132 Lot was also one of the messengers. 133 (Call to mind) when We delivered him and all his kinsfolk, 134 Except an old woman who was among those who lagged behind: 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 and, verily, [to this day] you pass by the remnants of their dwellings at morning-time 137 And at night; will you not then reflect? 138

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
