Again (of old) We bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron, 114 And saved them and their people from the great distress, 115 We helped them, and they became victorious, 116 And We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 And We guided them on the straight path. 118 And We left (this blessing) for them among generations (to come) in later times: 119 "Peace upon Moses and Aaron." 120 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 121 Indeed they are two of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 122 Surely, Elias too was among the Messengers. 123 When he said to his people: Do you not guard (against evil)? 124 Would you call on Baal and leave the best of creators, 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your ancestors of yore.” 126 But they denied him [Iliyas (Elias)], so they will certainly be brought forth (to the punishment), 127 except the sincere worshipers of Allah. 128 And We left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times; 129 Peace be on Ilyas. 130 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 131 For he was one of our believing Servants. 132 And Lut was most surely of the apostles. 133 We saved him and all his people, 134 except for an old woman who was among those that stayed behind. 135 We then destroyed the others. 136 and, verily, [to this day] you pass by the remnants of their dwellings at morning-time 137 and at night. Do you still not understand? 138
