We were indeed gracious to Moses and Aaron, 114 and We delivered both of them and their people from the great calamity. 115 And We succoured them so that they became overcomers. 116 We granted them a Clear Book, 117 and guided them to the straight path; 118 And We left for the twain among the posterity: 119 Peace be upon Moosa and Haroon! 120 This is how We reward the virtuous. 121 they were among Our believing servants. 122 And lo! Elias was of those sent (to warn), 123 He asked his people: 'Do you not fear (Allah)? 124 "Will ye call upon Baal and forsake the Best of Creators,- 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your ancestors of yore.” 126 In response they denied him, so they will surely be brought forth as captives. 127 excepting only [those who were] God's true servants; 128 And We left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times; 129 Peace be upon Ilyas! 130 Even thus do We reward the doers of good. 131 Lo! he is one of our believing slaves. 132 Lot was certainly a Messenger. 133 When We delivered him and his followers, all-- 134 except for an old woman who was among those that stayed behind. 135 Then We destroyed the rest. 136 and, verily, [to this day] you pass by the remnants of their dwellings at morning-time 137 And at night; do you not then understand? 138
