Al-Saaffaat 4 of 5
Verily We bestowed Our favours on Moses and Aaron 114 And rescued them and their people from the great calamity. 115 And We supported them so it was they who overcame. 116 And We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 and guided them upon the Straight Path. 118 And We left for the twain among the posterity: 119 "Peace and salutation to Moses and Aaron!" 120 That is how We reward those who do good. 121 for those two were truly among Our believing servants. 122 And verily, Iliyas (Elias) was one of the Messengers. 123 when he said to his people, 'Will you not be godfearing? 124 Would you call on Baal and leave the best of creators, 125 God your Lord and Lord of your forefathers?" 126 But they denounced him as a liar, so they will surely be arraigned (for punishment), 127 Except the chosen creatures of God. 128 We perpetuated his praise in the later generations. 129 Peace be upon Elias. 130 That is how We reward those who do good. 131 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 132 So also was Lut among those sent (by Us). 133 When We rescued him and his entire household. 134 Except an old woman, who became of those who stayed behind. 135 then We destroyed the others, 136 You pass by their ruins morning 137 Or at night. Then how is it you do not understand? 138
