Again (of old) We bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron, 114 And saved them and their people from the great distress, 115 And We helped them, so they were victorious. 116 We gave them the explicit Book, 117 and guided them to the straight path; 118 And We left for them among the later folk (the salutation): 119 Peace be unto Musa and Harun. 120 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 121 Verily! They were two of Our believing slaves. 122 And indeed Ilyas is one of the Noble Messengers. 123 when he spoke [thus] to his people: "Will you not remain conscious of God? 124 Will ye cry unto Baal and forsake the Best of creators, 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 But they denied him, so they surely will be haled forth (to the doom) 127 except for God's sincere servants; 128 We preserved a good name for him among posterity. 129 'Peace be upon Elias!' 130 It is thus indeed that We reward those who do good: 131 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 132 And verily Lut was of the sent ones. 133 We saved him and all his people, 134 Except an old woman (his wife) who was among those who remained behind. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by their desolate habitations in the morning 137 And at night. Then will you not use reason? 138
