Verily We bestowed Our favours on Moses and Aaron 114 And We saved them and their people from the great distress; 115 And helped them, so that they became the victors; 116 We granted them a Clear Book, 117 and guided them the straight way, 118 and left for them among the later folk 119 Peace be on Moses and Aaron. 120 Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 121 They were two of Our believing servants. 122 And Ilyas was most surely of the apostles. 123 when he said to his people, 'Will you not be godfearing? 124 Will ye cry unto Baal and forsake the Best of creators, 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients?' 126 But they rejected him, and they will certainly be called up (for punishment),- 127 Except the chosen servants of Allah. 128 And We perpetuated to him (praise) among the later generations. 129 Peace be upon Ilyas! 130 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 131 Verily he was one of Our bondmen believing. 132 And indeed, Lot was among the messengers. 133 (Call to mind) when We delivered him and all his kinsfolk, 134 Except his wife among those who remained [with the evildoers]. 135 Then We destroyed the rest [i.e. the towns of Sodom at the place of the Dead Sea (now) in Palestine]. [See the "Book of History" by Ibn Kathir]. 136 And indeed you pass over them in the morning. 137 And at night; will you not then reflect? 138
