Al-Saaffaat 4 of 5
THUS, INDEED, did We bestow Our favour upon Moses and Aaron; 114 And delivered them and their people from the great affliction. 115 And We supported them so it was they who overcame. 116 and We gave them the Clear Book, 117 And We guided them to the Straight Way. 118 And left (their remembrance) for posterity. 119 Peace be upon Moses and Aaron. 120 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 121 Lo! they are two of Our believing slaves. 122 Elias was certainly a Messenger. 123 (Call to mind) when he said to his people: “Will you not fear Allah? 124 Do you call on Ba'lan (the idol Baal) and abandon the Best Creator, 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers?" 126 But they cried him lies; so they will be among the arraigned, 127 Except the chosen creatures of God. 128 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations (to come) in later times: 129 Peace be with the followers of Elias. 130 Even thus do We reward the doers of good. 131 He is truly among Our faithful devotees. 132 And Lut was most surely of the apostles. 133 We rescued him and his whole family, 134 Except an old woman who was one of those who stayed behind. 135 Then We utterly destroyed the rest of them. 136 And surely ye pass by them in the morning. 137 and at night. Will you then not understand? 138
