We also favoured Moses and Aaron, 114 and We delivered them and their people from the great distress. 115 And We helped them, so they were victorious. 116 and We gave them the Manifesting Book, 117 and guided them upon the Straight Path. 118 And We kept their praise among the latter generations. 119 Peace be with Moses and Aaron. 120 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 121 Indeed, they were of Our believing servants. 122 And lo! Elias was of those sent (to warn), 123 When he said to his people, "Will you not fear Allah? 124 "Will you call upon Ba'l (a well- known idol of his nation whom they used to worship) and forsake the Best of creators, 125 "Allah, your Lord and Cherisher and the Lord and Cherisher of your fathers of old?" 126 But they called him a liar, therefore they shall most surely be brought up. 127 except the sincere servants of God. 128 And We left his (memory) for posterity. 129 'Peace be upon El Yaseen' 130 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 131 Verily he was one of Our bondmen believing. 132 And verily Lut was of the sent ones. 133 [and so,] when [We decreed the doom of his sinful town,] We saved him and his household, 134 except for an old woman who was among those that stayed behind. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by their desolate habitations in the morning 137 Or at night. Then how is it you do not understand? 138
