AND, BEHOLD, Jonah was indeed one of Our message-bearers 139 When he fled on the laden ship, 140 and cast lots, and he was among the losers (of the lots that were cast). 141 Then he was swallowed by a large fish as he was worthy of blame. 142 Had it not been that he (repented and) glorified Allah, 143 he would have tarried in its belly until the day they shall be raised; 144 ۞ but We cast him upon the wilderness, and he was sick, 145 And We caused to grow up for him a gourdplant. 146 And We sent him to a hundred thousand (folk) or more 147 And they believed, so We gave them provision till a time. 148 AND NOW ask them to enlighten thee: Has thy Sustainer daughters, whereas they would have [only] sons? 149 Did We create the angels females, to which they were witnesses? 150 Then is it of their lying that they say: 151 "God has begotten children." They are truly liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters in preference to sons? 153 What is the matter with you? How do you form your judgement? 154 What, and will you not remember? 155 Or have you a clear authority? 156 “Then bring forth your Book, if you are truthful!” 157 And they have invented a blood-relationship between Him and the Jinns: but the Jinns know (quite well) that they have indeed to appear (before his Judgment-Seat)! 158 Hallowed be Allah from that which they ascribe to Him. 159 Not (so do) the Servants of Allah, sincere and devoted. 160 So indeed, you [disbelievers] and whatever you worship, 161 you shall tempt none against Him 162 Save him Who is to roast in the Flaming Fire. 163 [The angels say], "Every single one of us has his place assigned: 164 we are the rangers, 165 and we are of those who glorify Allah.” 166 They say, 167 "If only we had a tradition [to this effect] from our forebears, 168 We would certainly have been the servants of Allah-- the purified ones. 169 Yet (now that it is come) they disbelieve therein; but they will come to know. 170 Our word had already been given before to Our votaries, the apostles, -- 171 That they verily would be helped, 172 and that Our army will be triumphant. 173 So you ignore them for a time 174 and see them; soon they shall see! 175 Would they hasten on Our doom? 176 When it descends on their courtyards, how terrible that morning will be for those who were warned! 177 And leave them for a time. 178 and see, soon they shall see! 179 Glorified be thy Lord, the Lord of Majesty, from that which they attribute (unto Him) 180 And peace is upon the Noble Messengers. 181 And praise to Allah, Lord of the worlds. 182

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
