Hizb 46

Verily Jonah is one of the apostles. 139 When he fled on the laden ship, 140 He (agreed to) cast lots, and he was condemned: 141 then the whale swallowed him down, and he blameworthy. 142 And had he not been of those who hallow Him, 143 He would have remained in its belly till the day when all will be raised. 144 ۞ So We cast him, sick, on a barren shore, 145 And We caused a plant of gourd to grow over him. 146 We sent him to a hundred thousand men or more, 147 And they believed, so We gave them provision till a time. 148 Therefore ask them (O dear Prophet Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him), whether the daughters are for your Lord and the sons for them! 149 Or that have We created the angels as females, while they were present? 150 Is it not of their own calumny that they say, 151 'God has begotten a son.' They are certainly liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters in preference to sons? 153 What is [wrong] with you? How do you make judgement? 154 Will you not then reflect? 155 Or, is there for you a clear warranty 156 Bring your Book, if what you say is true! 157 They link Him with jinns by lineage, yet the jinns know they will be brought before Him. 158 Glory be to God above that they describe, 159 except for God's sincere servants. 160 neither you nor what you worship 161 Can mislead anyone away from Him, 162 Except one who is (destined) to burn in Hell. 163 The angels say, "Each of us has an appointed place. 164 Lo! we, even we are they who set the ranks, 165 “And indeed we are those who say His purity.” 166 What, would they then say: 167 "If we had had with us a Book like that of the people of old, 168 then were we God's sincere servants.' 169 And yet, [now that this divine writ has been placed before them,] they refuse to acknowledge it as true! In time, however, they will come to know [what it was that they had rejected]: 170 And Our word has already preceded for Our servants, the messengers, 171 that they shall certainly be succoured, 172 and that it is Our host that would certainly triumph. 173 (Muhammad), stay away from them for a while 174 and see, and soon they too shall see. 175 Our torment seek they to hasten on! 176 When it descends into their courtyard, it will be terrible for those who have already been warned. 177 Stay away from them for a while 178 And watch (how they fare) and they soon shall see (how thou farest)! 179 Glory be to thy Lord, the Lord of Glory, above that they describe! 180 Peace be on the Messengers. 181 And all praise to God, the Lord of all the worlds. 182
Almighty God's Truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
