Say, "[God says] O My servants who have believed, fear your Lord. For those who do good in this world will have a good reward -- and God's earth is spacious. Truly, those who persevere patiently will be requited without measure." 10 Say: I am commanded that I should serve Allah, being sincere to Him in obedience. 11 "And I am commanded to be the first of those who bow to Allah in Islam." 12 Say (O Muhammad SAW): "Verily, if I disobey my Lord, I am afraid of the torment of a great Day." 13 Say (O Muhammad SAW) "Allah Alone I worship by doing religious deeds sincerely for His sake only and not to show-off, and not to set up rivals with Him in worship." 14 Then worship what ye will beside Him. Say: The losers will be those who lose themselves and their housefolk on the Day of Resurrection. Ah, that will be the manifest loss! 15 Clouds of fire will they have above them, and [similar] clouds beneath them…" In this way does God imbue His servants with fear. O you servants of Mine! Be, then, conscious of Me 16 (On the other hand), good tidings await those who eschew serving false gods and penitently return to Allah. (O Prophet), give good tidings to My servants, 17 Those who listen to the word, then follow the best of it; those are they whom Allah has guided, and those it is who are the men of understanding. 18 What! as for him then against whom the sentence of chastisement is due: What! can you save him who is in the fire? 19 But those who fear their Lord -- for them await lofty chambers, above which are built lofty chambers, underneath which rivers flow -- God's promise; God fails not the tryst. 20 Have you not seen that God sends down water from the sky, guides it to form springs in the earth, and then, with it, brings forth vegetation of various colours, which later withers, turns yellow before your eyes, and then He makes it crumble away? There is truly a reminder in this for those who possess understanding. 21
