The man who believed said further: "O my people! Follow me: I will lead you to the Path of Right. 38 O my nation, the life of this world is nothing but an enjoyment, but surely, the life of the Everlasting Life is the stable abode. 39 [There,] anyone who has done a bad deed will be requited with no more than the like thereof, whereas anyone, be it man or woman, who has done righteous deeds and is a believer withal - all such will enter paradise, wherein they shall be blest with good beyond all reckoning! 40 ۞ "And O my people! How (strange) it is for me to call you to Salvation while ye call me to the Fire! 41 You invite me to disbelieve in Allah and associate with Him that of which I have no knowledge, and I invite you to the Exalted in Might, the Perpetual Forgiver. 42 "There is no doubt that what you summon me to is something that has no claim to being invoked either in this world or in the life to come - as [there is no doubt] that unto God is our return, and that they who have wasted their own selves shall find themselves in the fire: 43 And you will remember what I [now] say to you, and I entrust my affair to Allah. Indeed, Allah is Seeing of [His] servants." 44 Thus, God delivered him from the evils which they plotted, and the companions of Pharaoh themselves were encompassed by a dreadful scourge; 45 (Before) the Fire they shall be exposed morning and evening, and on the Day when the Hour comes, (it will be said): 'Admit the family of Pharaoh into the most terrible punishment' 46 And when they shall contend one with another in the fire, then the weak shall say to those who were proud: Surely we were your followers; will you then avert from us a portion of the fire? 47 Those who had waxed proud will reply: “All of us are in it. Allah has already passed His judgement among His servants.” 48 And those in the Fire will say unto the keepers of Hell: supplicate your Lord that He may lighten for us a day of the torment. 49 [But the keepers of hell] will ask, "Is it not [true] that your apostles came unto you with all evidence of the truth?" Those [in the fire] will reply, "Yea, indeed." [And the keepers of hell] will say: "Pray, then!" - for the prayer of those who deny the truth cannot lead to aught but delusion. 50
