Hast thou not seen those who wrangle concerning the revelations of Allah, how they are turned away? - 69 Those who denied the Book and what We sent with Our Noble Messengers; so they will soon come to know. – 70 When shackles will be on their necks and also chains; they will be dragged. 71 and are dragged into burning despair, and in the end become fuel for the fire [of hell]. 72 And then they will be asked: "Where now are those [powers] to which you were wont to ascribe divinity 73 “As rivals to Allah?”; they will say, “We have lost them – in fact we never used to worship anything before!”; this is how Allah sends the disbelievers astray. 74 (And it is said unto them): This is because ye exulted in the earth without right, and because ye were petulant. 75 Enter the gates of Hell to abide therein, and (indeed) what an evil abode of the arrogant! 76 So be patient, [O Muhammad]; indeed, the promise of Allah is truth. And whether We show you some of what We have promised them or We take you in death, it is to Us they will be returned. 77 We sent other Messengers before you; of some, We have already told you, of others We have not told you. Yet it was not for any Messenger to bring a verse except by the permission of Allah. And when the command of Allah comes the matter will be justly decided; and the vaindoers will be lost. 78
