Elucidated (Fussilat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Ha-Meem. (Alphabets of the Arabic language – Allah, and to whomever He reveals, know their precise meanings.) 1 A revelation from Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful. 2 a Book whose revelations are well expounded, an Arabic Quran for people who possess knowledge, 3 Giving glad tidings and heralding warning; so most of them turned away, therefore they cannot listen (to the truth). 4 And say: "Our hearts are immured against what you call us to. There is a deafness in our ears, and a veil lies between us and you. So act (your way), we are acting (ours)." 5 Say, "I am only a human being like yourselves. It has been revealed to me that your God is One God. So take the straight path to Him and ask His forgiveness." Woe to those who associate others with Him, 6 Those who do not give the obligatory charity, and who deny the Hereafter. 7 For those who believe and do good works is an enduring wage' 8
