We saved the Children of Israel from their humiliating torment 30 from Pharaoh, who ranked high in sin, 31 And We exalted them over the other people knowingly, 32 And sent them tokens to bring out the best in them. 33 Indeed these disbelievers proclaim; – 34 There is naught but our first death, and we shall not be raised again. 35 “Therefore bring back our forefathers, if you are truthful!” 36 Are they better or the people of Tubba' and those before them? We destroyed them, [for] indeed, they were criminals. 37 We did not idly create the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them; 38 We created them not save with a purpose but most of them know not. 39 The Day of Decision is the appointed time for all. 40 The day on which a friend shall not avail (his) friend aught, nor shall they be helped, 41 Apart from those to whom God is kind. He is all-mighty and all-merciful. 42
