Victory (Al-Fatt-h)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
WE HAVE GIVEN you a splendent victory 1 so that God may forgive you your past and future sins and complete His favour to you and guide you to a straight path, 2 and grant you a majestic triumph. 3 It is He who sent down tranquillity into the hearts of the believers that they would increase in faith along with their [present] faith. And to Allah belong the soldiers of the heavens and the earth, and ever is Allah Knowing and Wise. 4 That He may bring the believing men and the believing women into Gardens underneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide, and may remit from them their evil deeds - That, in the sight of Allah, is the supreme triumph - 5 And that He may punish men and women (who are) hypocrites, and idolaters and idolatresses who entertain evil notions of God: It is against them that the wheel of misfortune will turn, and God will be wroth with them, and condemn them. For them He has prepared Hell, an evil destination! 6 To God belong the hosts of the heavens and the earth; God is All-mighty, All-wise. 7 We have sent you as witness (of the truth) and harbinger of good news and a warner, 8 That ye (mankind) may believe in Allah and His messenger, and may honour Him, and may revere Him, and may glorify Him at early dawn and at the close of day. 9 Those who swear allegiance to you swear allegiance to Allah. The Hand of Allah is above their hands. He who breaks his oath breaks it against his self, but for he that keeps his covenant made with Allah, Allah shall give him a mighty wage. 10
