It was We Who created man, and We know what dark suggestions his soul makes to him: for We are nearer to him than (his) jugular vein. 16 When both receivers (the angels) receive, one on his right, the other on his left, 17 Not a word he uttereth but there is with him a watcher ready. 18 And the stupor of death will come in truth: "This is what you have been avoiding!" 19 And the Trumpet will be blown, that will be the Day whereof warning (had been given) (i.e. the Day of Resurrection). 20 Each soul will come with a driver and a witness. 21 (It will be said to the sinners): "Indeed you were heedless of this, now We have removed your covering, and sharp is your sight this Day!" 22 And his companions shall say: This is what is ready with me. 23 'Cast, you twain, into Gehenna every froward unbeliever, 24 Hinderer of good, transgressor, doubter, 25 Who had set up another god with God. Cast him into severe torment." 26 ۞ His companion will say: Our Lord! I did not lead him into inordinacy but he himself was in a great error. 27 He will say: "Dispute not with each other in My Presence: I had already in advance sent you Warning. 28 and My word shall not be changed, nor am I unjust to My servants." 29
