We verily created man and We know what his soul whispereth to him, and We are nearer to him than his jugular vein. 16 Behold, two (guardian angels) appointed to learn (his doings) learn (and noted them), one sitting on the right and one on the left. 17 He uttereth no word but there is with him an observer ready. 18 The palsy of death will surely come. This is what you wished to avert. 19 And the Horn will be blown. That is the Day of [carrying out] the threat. 20 Each soul will come with a driver and a witness. 21 Assuredly thou wast in neglect thereof; now We have removed from off thee thy veil, so thy sight Today is piercing. 22 And his companion will say: 'This is that which I have present' 23 Do cast into hell every ungrateful, rebellious one, 24 Hinderer of good, transgressor, doubter, 25 “The one who appointed another God along with Allah – so both of you fling him into the severe punishment.” 26 ۞ His accompanying devil said, “Our Lord! I did not cause him to rebel, but he himself was in extreme error.” 27 "Do not argue in My presence. I had announced the promise of doom in advance. 28 and My word shall not be changed, nor am I unjust to My servants." 29
