We indeed created man; and We know what his soul whispers within him, and We are nearer to him than the jugular vein. 16 Moreover, there are two scribes, one each sitting on the right and the left, recording everything. 17 whatever phrase he utters, an observer is present. 18 And the stupor of death will come in truth; that is what you were trying to escape. 19 And the Horn will be blown. That is the Day of [carrying out] the threat. 20 And every soul shall come, and with it a driver and a witness. 21 Assuredly thou wast in neglect thereof; now We have removed from off thee thy veil, so thy sight Today is piercing. 22 And his accompanying angel said, “This is the record of your deeds, available with me.” 23 (It will be said): 'Indeed, cast into Gehenna (Hell) every deviating unbeliever, 24 "Hinderer of good, transgressor, doubter, 25 and has set up another deity with Allah. Hurl him into the grievous torment.” 26 ۞ and his associate [Satan] will say, "Lord, I did not make him transgress, he had already gone far astray himself." 27 He will say: Do not quarrel in My presence, and indeed I gave you the threatening beforehand: 28 No word is to be exchanged in My presence. I am not unjust to My servants". 29
