Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the scatterers (the wind) scattering, 1 And those that lift and bear away heavy weights; 2 and the smooth runners 3 And those who distribute (blessings) by command, 4 Lo! that wherewith ye are threatened is indeed true, 5 and, verily, judgment is bound to come! 6 By the heaven with its passages, 7 surely you are deeply at variance [as to what to believe] -- 8 Deluded away from the Qur'an is he who is deluded. 9 Cursed be the liars, 10 Those who have forgotten in a state of intoxication. 11 They ask: When is the day of judgment? 12 Upon the day when they shall be tried at the Fire: 13 And it will be said to them, “Taste your own roasting; this is what you were impatient for.” 14 The righteous shall live among gardens and fountains, 15 taking whatsoever their Lord has given them; they were good-doers before that. 16 they used to sleep but little by night, 17 and asked for forgiveness in the early morning. 18 and in their wealth there was a rightful share for him who would ask and for the destitute. 19 And on the earth there are signs for those who would be convinced. 20 and also in your own selves. Do you not see? 21 In the sky is your provision and that which you are promised. 22 This, by the Lord of the heavens and the earth is as certain as your ability to speak. 23
