Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the scatterers (the wind) scattering, 1 And (the clouds) that bear heavy weight of water; 2 then the easy runners (the ships); 3 And those who distribute (it) by command, 4 indeed, that which you are promised is true, 5 the Judgement will surely come to pass -- 6 The heavens webbed-with-tracks is witness 7 surely you are at variance (about the Hereafter); 8 and perverted therefrom are some. 9 Perish the conjecturers 10 Who are careless in an abyss! 11 They ask: "When is the Day of Judgement?" -- 12 [It is] the Day they will be tormented over the Fire 13 Taste your burning: this is that which ye sought to be hastened. 14 The righteous shall live among gardens and fountains, 15 Accepting the rewards given by their Lord; they were indeed virtuous before this. 16 They used to sleep but little in the night. 17 And in the hour of early dawn, they (were found) praying for Forgiveness; 18 and in their wealth there was a rightful share for him who would ask and for the destitute. 19 In the earth there is evidence (of the Truth) for those who have strong faith. 20 And within yourselves. Can you not perceive? 21 And in the heaven is your providence and that which ye are promised; 22 So, by the Lord of the heaven and the earth, this is certainly true, as true as the fact of your speaking. 23
