And heaven -- We built it with might, and We extend it wide. 47 And We made the earth a base, so how well do We lay out! 48 And in everything have We created opposites, so that you might bear in mind [that God alone is One]. 49 Therefore flee unto God! I am a clear warner from Him to you. 50 And make not another an object of worship with Allah: I am from Him a Warner to you, clear and open! 51 Thus there did not come to those before them an apostle but they said: A magician or a mad man. 52 What! Have they willed this utterance to one another? In fact they are a rebellious people. 53 So withdraw from them (O Muhammad), for thou art in no wise blameworthy, 54 Keep on reminding them. This benefits the believers. 55 And I (Allah) created not the jinns and humans except they should worship Me (Alone). 56 [But withal,] no sustenance do I ever demand of them, nor do I demand that they feed Me: 57 It is God Who is the Sustainer and the Lord of invincible strength. 58 And indeed, for those who have wronged is a portion [of punishment] like the portion of their predecessors, so let them not impatiently urge Me. 59 And woe unto those who disbelieve, from (that) their day which they are promised. 60
