Therefore, remind. By the Favor of Allah, you are neither a soothsayer, nor mad. 29 Or do they say:- "A Poet! we await for him some calamity (hatched) by Time!" 30 Say: 'Wait if you will; I shall be waiting with you' 31 Or do their intellects bid them do this? Or are they an insolent people? 32 Or do they say: He has forged it. Nay! they do not believe. 33 (If they are truthful in this), then let them produce a discourse of similar splendour. 34 Were they created out of nothing, or are they their own creators? 35 Have they created the heavens and the earth? In fact, they have no strong faith. 36 Or do they have the treasures of your Lord, or are they the authority? 37 Or do they have a ladder whereon they can climb and attempt to listen (to what is transpiring in the Higher Realm)? Then, let any of them who has listened to it produce a clear proof of it. 38 Or has He daughters, and they sons? 39 Or askest thou them for a wage, and so they are weighed down with debt? 40 Or that the Unseen in it their hands, and they write it down? 41 Or do they want to entrap [thee in contradictions]? But they who are bent on denying the truth - it is they who are truly entrapped! 42 Or do they have a god apart from God? He is too exalted for what they associate with Him! 43 And if they were to see a fragment from the sky falling, they would say, "[It is merely] clouds heaped up." 44 Hence, leave them alone until they face that [Judgment] Day of theirs, when they will be stricken with terror: 45 The Day when their plotting shall not avail them at all nor will they be helped (i.e. they will receive their torment in Hell). 46 And there surely awaits the evildoers a chastisement beyond even that, but most of them know it not. 47 Wait patiently for the command of your Lord. We are watching over you. Glorify your Lord when you rise during the night 48 Extol His glory at night, and at the setting of the stars. 49
