Therefore, remind. By the Favor of Allah, you are neither a soothsayer, nor mad. 29 Or do they say: 'He is a poet, we are waiting for some misfortune to befall him' 30 Say: Wait, for surely I too with you am of those who wait. 31 is it their minds that prompt them [to say] this, or are they merely insolent people? 32 Or say they: He hath invented it? Nay, but they will not believe! 33 Let them produce a scripture like it, if what they say is true. 34 Or were they created without there being anything, or are they the creators? 35 Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Nay, but they have no firm Belief. 36 Or have they the depositories [containing the provision] of your Lord? Or are they the controllers [of them]? 37 Or have they a ladder whereon they listen? Then let any of them that has listened bring a clear authority. 38 Does God have daughters while you have sons? 39 Or askest thou them for a wage, and so they are weighed down with debt? 40 Or, is the Unseen in their keeping, so they are writing it down? 41 Do they want to hatch some plot? Those who deny the truth will be the victims of the plot. 42 Or have they an ilah (a god) other than Allah? Glorified be Allah from all that they ascribe as partners (to Him) 43 Even if they saw lumps falling from the sky they would say: 'A massed cloud' 44 Then let them be (O Muhammad), till they meet their day, in which they will be thunder-stricken, 45 when their stratagem shall be of no avail to them, nor shall they be succoured. 46 And indeed, for those who have wronged is a punishment before that, but most of them do not know. 47 And be patient upon your Lord’s command, (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), for you are indeed in Our sight; and proclaim the Purity of your Lord while praising Him, whenever you stand. 48 And in the night also hallow Him, and at the setting of the stars. 49
