HAST THOU, then, ever considered him who turns away [from remembering Us, and cares for no more than the life of this world,] 33 and grudgingly spends very little for the cause of God? 34 Is with him knowledge of the unseen so that he seeth? 35 Has he not been informed of what is in the Scrolls of Moses, 36 And with Abraham who kept his word: 37 That no soul laden bears the load of another, 38 nor can man achieve anything without hard labor. 39 and that his work is surely seen 40 then, he shall be recompensed for it in full repayment 41 And that the end is only towards your Lord? 42 and that it is He alone who causes [you] to laugh and to weep; 43 and that it is He alone who deals death and grants life; 44 And that He creates the two mates - the male and female - 45 From a drop of semen when emitted; 46 and that it is for Him to grant the second life, 47 And that it is He who enriches and suffices 48 It is He who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 and that He destroyed Ad, the ancient, 50 Thamud, 51 and the people of Noah; they were the most unjust and rebellious people. 52 And He destroyed the overthrown cities [of Sodom to which Prophet Lout (Lot) was sent]. 53 So they were covered with whatever covered them? 54 About which of the bounties of your Lord can they persistently dispute? 55 This is a (Prophet) like that of the ancient warners (Prophets). 56 The Approaching Day has approached. 57 No (soul) but Allah can lay it bare. 58 Do you then find these tidings strange? 59 And keep laughing and do not weep, 60 Wasting your time in vanities? 61 But fall ye down in prostration to Allah, and adore (Him)! ۩ 62
