Have you considered he who turns his back, 33 who gave a little, and then stopped? 34 Does he have knowledge of the unseen, so he sees? 35 Or has he never yet been told of what was [said] in the revelations of Moses, 36 And of Abraham who fulfilled his engagements?- 37 That no soul shall bear another's burden, 38 And that man shall have nothing but what he strives for- 39 And that his deeds will be seen, 40 Thereafter he shall be recompensed therefor with the fullest recompense. 41 And that unto thy Lord is the goal. 42 That it is He who makes you happy and morose, 43 And that He it is Who giveth death and giveth life; 44 And that it is He Who has created the two pairs, male and female? 45 from a discharged living germ 46 And that He hath ordained the second bringing forth; 47 that it is He who gives wealth and possessions; 48 And that He only is the Lord of the star Sirius? 49 and that He destroyed Ad, the ancient, 50 And the Thamud nor gave them a lease of perpetual life. 51 and the people of Noah before -- certainly they did exceeding evil, and were insolent 52 And Al-Mu'tafikah He destroyed 53 So there covered them that which covered. 54 So O listener! Which favour of your Lord will you doubt? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The Imminent is imminent; 57 There is no one to unveil it apart from God. 58 Do you then find these tidings strange? 59 Or do you laugh, and do you not weep 60 Wasting your (precious) lifetime in pastime and amusements (singing, etc.). 61 So make obeisance to Allah and serve (Him). ۩ 62
