Did you (O Muhammad SAW) observe him who turned away (from Islam). 33 and gives so little [of himself for the good of his soul,] and so grudgingly? 34 Has he knowledge of the unseen, so that he sees? 35 Has he not been informed of what is in the Scrolls of Moses, 36 And of Ibrahim who faithfully fulfilled? 37 To wit, that a burthened soul shall not bear the burthen of another. 38 nor can man achieve anything without hard labor. 39 and that (the result of) his striving shall soon be seen, 40 Then he will be fully repaid for it? 41 and that the final end is unto thy Lord, 42 and that it is He who makes to laugh, and that makes to weep, 43 and that it is He who causes to die, and causes to live 44 That He created pairs, male and female, 45 From the small seed when it is adapted 46 And that [incumbent] upon Him is the next creation 47 and that it is He who gives wealth and riches, 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius; 49 And that it is He (Allah) Who destroyed the former 'Ad (people), 50 And Samood, so He spared not 51 Like the people of Noah before them, who were surely oppressors and rebellious; 52 just as He thrust into perdition those cities that were overthrown 53 and then covered them from sight forever. 54 About which of the bounties of your Lord can they persistently dispute? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The threatened Hour is nigh. 57 and none but Allah can avert it. 58 Will you, then, wonder at this? 59 And will you laugh and not weep? 60 And ye are behaving proudly. 61 Therefore prostrate for Allah, and worship Him.
