(Muhammad), have you ever seen the one who has turned away (from guidance), 33 And gives a little and (then) withholds. 34 Does he have knowledge of the unseen, so he sees? 35 Or has he not been told of what is in the scrolls of Moses, 36 and Abraham, he who paid his debt in full? 37 that no soul shall bear the burden of another; 38 And that there is not for man except that [good] for which he strives 39 and that his labouring shall surely be seen, 40 then he shall be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense, 41 And that to your Lord is your returning; 42 And that it is He Who causeth to laugh and causeth to weep. 43 And that it is He (Allah) Who causes death and gives life; 44 And that it is He Who has created the two pairs, male and female? 45 From Nutfah (drops of semen male and female discharges) when it is emitted; 46 and that He will bring about the Second Creation; 47 and that it is He who gives riches and causes to hoard, 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius. 49 and that it is He who destroyed the ancient [tribes of] Ad 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace of them, 51 And also the people of Nuh aforetime. Verily they were even greater wrong-doers and more contumacious. 52 And He brought perdition upon the subverted cities 53 so that there came upon them that which came. 54 On which then of your Lord's signs do you cast doubt? 55 This (Muhammad SAW) is a warner (Messenger) of the (series of) warners (Messengers) of old. 56 The near event draws nigh. 57 No (soul) but Allah can lay it bare. 58 Then at this statement do you wonder? 59 And you laugh at it and weep not, 60 Indulging in pleasantries? 61 So prostrate yourselves before Allah and worship. ۩ 62
True are the words of God the Almighty.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
