So did you observe him who turned away? 33 And he gave a little, then refrained? 34 Does he [claim to] have knowledge of something that is beyond the reach of human perception, so that he can see [it clearly]? 35 Or, has he not been informed of what is in the scriptures of Musa? 36 And Abraham who paid his debt: 37 To wit, that a burthened soul shall not bear the burthen of another. 38 and that nought shall be accounted unto man but what he is striving for; 39 and that his labouring shall surely be seen, 40 and will be fully recompensed for his deeds. 41 And that to your Lord is the goal- 42 And that it is He Who causeth to laugh and causeth to weep. 43 And that it is He Who gave death and gave life? 44 and He it is Who created the two kinds, the male and the female, 45 out of a [mere] drop of sperm as it is poured forth, 46 And that on Him is the bringing forth a second time; 47 And that it is He Who has given wealth and contentment? 48 And that it is He Who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 And that He destroyed the former (tribe of) A'ad, 50 and Thamood, sparing no one, 51 and that He it is Who destroyed the people of Noah before for they were much given to iniquity and transgression. 52 And Al-Mu'tafikah He destroyed 53 and then covered them from sight forever. 54 Which then of thy Lord's benefits wilt thou doubt? 55 This [Prophet] is a warner like the former warners. 56 The imminent Hour has drawn near, 57 None, except Allah, can avert it. 58 Do ye then wonder at this recital? 59 And laugh and not weep? 60 And ye are behaving proudly. 61 So bow yourselves before God, and serve Him! ۩ 62
