The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ The Compassionate. 1 has taught the Quran to (Muhammad). 2 He has created man: 3 And taught him to express clearly. 4 The sun and the moon follow a reckoning, 5 The stars and the trees prostrate. 6 And the heaven! He hath elevated it, and He hath set the balance. 7 That ye exceed not the measure, 8 And observe correct measure, weigh with justice, and not cheat the balance. 9 And the earth He laid [out] for the creatures. 10 In which are fruits, and covered dates. 11 grain with its husk and aromatic herbs. 12 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 13 He created man (Adam) from sounding clay like the clay of pottery. 14 and jinn from the many colored flames of fire. 15 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 16 [He is] the Sustainer of the two farthest points of sunrise, and the Sustainer of the two farthest points of sunset. 17 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 18 He has set two seas in motion that flow side by side together, 19 Between them is a barrier which none of them can transgress. 20 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 21 From the two oceans comes pearls and coral. 22 Which of the wonders of your Lord's power will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 23 To Him only belong the sailing ships, raised above the sea like hills. 24 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 25
