The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ AR-RAHMAN 1 Has taught the Qur’an to His beloved Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him). 2 He created man. 3 And taught him to express clearly. 4 The sun and the moon to a reckoning. 5 and the stars and the trees bow themselves; 6 He raised the sky and set the Balance 7 That ye should not trespass in respect of the balance. 8 And establish the measures justly, nor decrease the due weight. 9 And the earth hath He appointed for (His) creatures, 10 There are fruits of all kinds on it, and date-palms with their clusters sheathed, 11 and grain growing tall on its stalks, and sweet-smelling plants. 12 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 13 He created man from dry clay like earthen vessels, 14 And He created the jinn from a smokeless flame of fire. 15 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 16 Lord of the two easts and of the two wests is He. 17 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 18 He has let free the two bodies of flowing water, meeting together: 19 Between them is a barrier which none of them can transgress. 20 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 21 From these seas come forth pearls and coral. 22 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 23 His are the lofty ships, that rear aloft on the sea like mountains. 24 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 25
