▼ 55 The All Compassionate
Al-Rahman 3 of 3
But such as fears the Station of his Lord, for them shall be two gardens -- 46 which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 47 [two gardens] of many wondrous hues. 48 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?- 49 therein two fountains of running water -- 50 Which of your Lord's favours will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 51 In both of them are of every fruit, two kinds. 52 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 53 They will recline upon carpets lined with rich brocade; and the fruits of both these gardens will be within easy reach. 54 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 55 Therein are those of modest gaze, whom neither man nor jinni will have touched before them. 56 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 57 (In beauty) they are like rubies and coral. 58 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 59 Should the reward of goodness be aught else but goodness? -- 60 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 61 And besides those two will be yet two [other] gardens 62 which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 63 Both [gardens] of the darkest green. 64 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 65 In both of them live springs gush forth. 66 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 67 In both of them will be [all kinds of] fruit, and date-palms and pomegranates. 68 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 69 In these [gardens] will be [all] things most excellent and beautiful. 70 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 71 There shall be maidens sheltered in tents. 72 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? -- 73 Whom no man or jinn yatmithhunna (has opened their hymens with sexual intercourse) before them. 74 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 75 Reclining on green cushions and beautiful decorated carpets. 76 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny? 77 HALLOWED be thy Sustainer's name, full of majesty and glory! 78
