The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the event befalleth - 1 Then none will be able to deny its occurrence. 2 Abasing (one party), exalting (the other), 3 when the earth will suddenly shake with a terrible shaking, 4 and the mountains crumbled 5 and will scatter abroad into fine dust. 6 And you (all) will be in three kinds (i.e. separate groups). 7 Those on the right hand; how happy shall those on the right hand be! 8 The people of the left hand - those whose books of records will be placed in their left hands. How miserable they will be! 9 And the foremost are the foremost, 10 they who were [always] drawn close unto God! 11 They are in Gardens of peace. 12 A large group from the earlier generations. 13 and how few of the later folk) 14 On thrones woven [with ornament], 15 Reclining on them, facing each other. 16 immortal youths going round about them 17 Carrying bowls and pitchers and cups filled with wine flowing before them. 18 (no brows throbbing, no intoxication) 19 And such fruits as they fancy, 20 And the flesh of fowl such as they desire. 21 And [for them are] fair women with large, [beautiful] eyes, 22 The like of the hidden pearls: 23 Reward for what they used to do. 24 No empty talk will they hear there, nor any call to sin, 25 Except the saying, “Peace, peace.” 26 Those on the Right, how fortunate are those on the Right! 27 Midst lote-trees thornless. 28 And banana-trees (with fruits), one above another. 29 and spreading shade 30 Gushing water, 31 And abundant fruit, 32 Neither intercepted nor forbidden, 33 And maidens incomparable. 34 Indeed, We have produced the women of Paradise in a [new] creation 35 And made them virgins. 36 loving companions, matching in age, 37 for those on the Right, 38

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
There are memorization exercises for the original Arabic and English transliterated Arabic modes only. The English translation mode has no memorization exercises.
