The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ WHEN WHAT IS to happen comes to pass -- 1 (and none denies its descending) 2 (a calamitous Event) that shall turn things upside down: 3 When the earth is shaken violently, 4 The mountains bruised and crushed, 5 they will become like dust scattered around. 6 And you will become divided into three categories. 7 Companions of the Right, what are the Companions of the Right? 8 Companions of the Left (O Companions of the Left!) 9 And the preceders are the preceders. 10 These will be those Nearest to Allah: 11 In the gardens of bliss. 12 (a throng of the ancients 13 And a few of later ages, 14 They will recline on jewelled couches 15 reclining on them, arrayed face to face; 16 Youths of never-ending bloom will pass round to them 17 with goblets, and ewers, and cups filled with water from unsullied springs 18 No after-ache will they receive therefrom, nor will they suffer intoxication: 19 And fruit; that they may choose. 20 and with the flesh of any fowl that they may desire to eat; 21 And (there will be) Houris (fair females) with wide, lovely eyes (as wives for the pious), 22 Like unto Pearls well-guarded. 23 as reward for their deeds. 24 There they shall hear no idle talk, no cause of sin, 25 But only the saying of: Salam!, Salam! (greetings with peace)! 26 The Companions of the Right 27 (will be) among thornless Lote trees. 28 Among Talh (banana-trees) with fruits piled one above another, 29 In shade long-extended, 30 And in perpetually flowing water. 31 And fruit abundant. 32 never-failing and never out of reach. 33 And couches raised up. 34 Indeed We formed them (the houris and all believing women), 35 And made them virgin - pure (and undefiled), - 36 Lovers, friends, 37 like of age for the Companions of the Right. 38

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
