The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the great event comes to pass, 1 There is no denying that it will befall - 2 (Many) will it bring low; (many) will it exalt; 3 When the earth is shaken 4 And the mountains are crumbled, crumbled. 5 So that they will become floating dust particles. 6 On that day, you (mankind) will be divided into three groups: 7 Those on the Right -- how blessed are those on the Right! 8 And (then) those on the left hand; what of those on the left hand? 9 But the foremost shall be [they who in life were] the foremost [in faith and good works]: 10 It is they who are the close ones. 11 in the beautiful Paradise. 12 A [large] company of the former peoples 13 And a few from among the latter. 14 They will recline on jewelled couches 15 they shall recline, facing each other, 16 There shall go round unto them youths ever-young. 17 with goblets and ewers, and a cup from a spring 18 They shall not be affected with headache thereby, nor shall they get exhausted, 19 And with fruit from that which they choose. 20 and any flesh of fowl that they desire. 21 They will have maidens with large, lovely black and white eyes, 22 Like unto preserved pearls. 23 A Reward for the deeds of their past (life). 24 No empty talk will they hear there, nor any call to sin, 25 except each other's greetings of, "Peace be with you". 26 And the companions of the right hand; how happy are the companions of the right hand! 27 Among thornless lote-trees 28 And banana-trees (with fruits), one above another. 29 and shade extended, 30 And water everflowing. 31 And fruit in plenty 32 Neither limited [to season] nor forbidden, 33 And carpets raised. 34 Perfectly We formed them, perfect, 35 And made them virgins, 36 loving and of equal age. 37 All this will be for the People on the Right; 38

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
