No calamity befalls, but with the Leave [i.e. decision and Qadar (Divine Preordainments)] of Allah, and whosoever believes in Allah, He guides his heart [to the true Faith with certainty, i.e. what has befallen him was already written for him by Allah from the Qadar (Divine Preordainments)], and Allah is the All-Knower of everything. 11 And obey Allah and obey the Messenger; but if you turn away - then upon Our Messenger is only [the duty of] clear notification. 12 Allah! There is no god but He: and on Allah, therefore, let the Believers put their trust. 13 O ye who believe! verily of your wives and your children there is an enemy unto you; wherefore beware of them. And if ye pardon and pass over and forgive, then verily Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. 14 Your wealth and your children are only a trial; and with God is a mighty wage. 15 So hold Allah in awe as much as you can, and listen and obey, and be charitable. This is for your own good. And whoever remains safe from his own greediness, it is such that will prosper. 16 If you lend a good loan to Allah He will multiply it for you and will forgive you. Allah is the Thankful, the Clement. 17 Knower of the Invisible and the Visible, the Mighty, the Wise. 18
