The Heights (Al-Ma'aarej)
44 verses, revealed in Mecca after Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah) before The News (Al-Naba')
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
A caller supplicated about a punishment to fall on 1 The Unbelievers, the which there is none to ward off,- 2 a chastisement from Allah, the Lord of the ascending steps, 3 (Whereby) the angels and the Spirit ascend unto Him in a Day whereof the span is fifty thousand years. 4 So persevere with becoming patience. 5 Indeed, they see it [as] distant, 6 And We see it nigh. 7 The day when the sky will be like molten silver. 8 And the hills will be light as wool. 9 and no bosom friend will enquire about any of his bosom friends 10 They will be shown each other. The criminal will wish that he could be ransomed from the punishment of that Day by his children 11 His wife and his brother, 12 And the family in which he was. 13 And whoever is on earth entirely [so] then it could save him. 14 But no! There is a raging blaze 15 tearing away his skin! 16 It shall insistently summon him who turned his back and retreated, 17 and amassed (riches) and hoarded. 18 ۞ Surely man is created of a hasty temperament 19 Fretful when evil befalleth him 20 And, when good befalleth him, grudging; 21 except those that pray, 22 Who are at their prayer constant. 23 And those in whose riches is a known right. 24 For the beggar who asks, and for the unlucky who has lost his property and wealth, (and his means of living has been straitened); 25 And those who hold to the truth of the Day of Judgment; 26 and fear the chastisement of their Lord 27 For their Lord's displeasure is the opposite of Peace and Tranquillity;- 28 And those who guard their private parts, 29 Except from their wives or those their right hands possess, for indeed, they are not to be blamed - 30 But whosoever seeks beyond that, then it is those who are trespassers. 31 (Those) who keep their trusts and their covenant, 32 and who stand firm whenever they bear witness; 33 And those who of their prayer are observant. 34 These it is who in the gardens [of paradise] shall be honoured! 35

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
توجد تمارين تحفيظ للوضعين العربي الأصلي والعربي المخطوط بأحرف إنجليزية فقط. ولا تحتوي الترجمة الإنجليزية على تمارين حفظ.
There are memorization exercises for the original Arabic and English transliterated Arabic modes only. The English translation mode has no memorization exercises.
