What aileth those who disbelieve, that they keep staring toward thee (O Muhammad), open-eyed, 36 From the right and from the left, in crowds? 37 Does every man of them desire that he should be made to enter the garden of bliss? 38 No! Indeed, We have created them from that which they know. 39 But nay! I call to witness [Our being] the Sustainer of all the points of sunrise and sunset: verily, well able are We 40 Substitute for them better (men) than they; And We are not to be defeated (in Our Plan). 41 So leave them alone to plunge and play, until they encounter the Day which they are promised; 42 A day when they will come out of the graves in haste, as if rushing towards their goals. 43 Their eyes lowered in dejection, ignominy covering them (all over)! such is the Day the which they are promised! 44
