Jinns (Al-Jinn)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Say: 'It is revealed to me that a party of jinn listened then said: "We have indeed heard a wonderful Koran, 1 'It guides to the Right Path, and we have believed therein, and we shall never join (in worship) anything with our Lord (Allah). 2 He exalted be the Majesty of our Lord, who has neither taken to Himself a wife, nor a son! 3 The ignorant fool among us has spoken outrageously against Allah, 4 And we had thought that mankind and the jinn would never speak about Allah a lie. 5 and that “some from among the humans used to seek protection of some among the jinn, and thus they increased the arrogance of the jinn”; 6 They thought, as you did, that God would never raise up anyone from the dead. 7 And we sought to reach the heaven; then we found it filled with a strong guard and darting meteors. 8 And we used to sit on places (high) therein to listen. But he who listeneth now findeth a flame in wait for him; 9 And that we know not whether evil is meant for those who are on earth or whether their Lord means to bring them good: 10 Some of us are righteous, but some are otherwise, we are sects that differ. 11 'But we think that we can by no means frustrate Allah throughout the earth, nor can we frustrate Him by flight. 12 ‘And that when we heard the guidance, we accepted faith in it; so whoever accepts faith in his Lord, has no fear – neither of any loss nor of any injustice.’ 13 And there are among us some who have surrendered (to Allah) and there are among us some who are unjust. And whoso hath surrendered to Allah, such have taken the right path purposefully. 14 'But those who swerve,- they are (but) fuel for Hell-fire'- 15 [KNOW,] THEN, that if they [who have heard Our call] keep firmly to the [right] path, We shall certainly shower them with blessings abundant, 16 So that We might try them with respect to it; and whoever turns aside from the reminder of his Lord, He will make him enter into an afflicting chastisement: 17 Mosques belong to Allah, so do not call to anyone else, other than Allah. 18 "Yet when the Devotee of Allah stands forth to invoke Him, they just make round him a dense crowd." 19
