The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir)
56 verses, revealed in Mecca after Unknown Person (Al-Muzzammil) before The Key (Al-Faatehah)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
O THOU [in thy solitude] enfolded! 1 stand up, deliver your warning, 2 And your Lord (Allah) magnify! 3 And thine inner self purify! 4 And banish all trepidation. 5 And do not confer favor to acquire more 6 And for the good-will of thy Lord be thou patient. 7 So when the Trumpet will be blown. 8 it will be a hard day 9 For the infidels, not easy. 10 Leave him to Me, the one whom I created single. 11 And then granted him resources in abundance. 12 And sons abiding in his presence 13 And I adjusted affairs for him adjustably; 14 and yet, he greedily desires that I give him even more! 15 Never! For he is an enemy to Our signs! 16 I shall force him to endure a painful uphill climb! 17 He reflected and then hatched a scheme. 18 (Self-)destroyed is he, how he planned! 19 Again accursed be he, how evilly did he decide! 20 He looked (at others); 21 Then he frowned and scowled; 22 and he turned his back and behaved arrogantly 23 And said: "This is nothing but the magic of old, 24 This is naught but the word of a mortal. 25 Him shall I fling unto the burning. 26 And what knoweth thou that which the Scorching Fire? 27 It neither leaves, nor spares. 28 Scorching the skin. 29 over it are nineteen. 30 And We have appointed none but the angels to be wardens of the Fire. And their number we have made only a trial for those who disbelieve, so that those who are vouchsafed the Book may be convinced, and that those who believe may increase in faith, and that those who are vouchsafed the Book and the believers may not doubt, and that those in whose hearts is a disease and the infidels may say: what meaneth Allah by this description! In this wise Allah sendeth astray whomsoever He will, and guideth whomsoever He will. And none knoweth the hosts of thy Lord but He. And it is naught but an admonition unto man. 31

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
