Nay, by the moon, 32 and the night when it retreats 33 and the morn when it dawns! 34 Verily it is one of the greatest woes. 35 a warning to humans, 36 To whoever wills among you to proceed or stay behind. 37 Every soul is a pledge for its own deeds; 38 Except those on the right side. 39 who in their gardens will be enquiring 40 about the guilty ones: 41 What hath brought you to this burning? 42 They shall say: We were not of those who prayed; 43 and we did not feed the needy. 44 We indulged and persisted in useless disputes, 45 and we cried lies to the Day of Doom, 46 "Until there came to us (the Hour) that is certain." 47 So the intercession of intercessors shall not avail them. 48 What is then the matter with them, that they turn away from the admonition 49 like frightened donkeys 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Rather each one of them desires that he should be given open Books. 52 No! But they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 No, indeed, surely, this is a Reminder. 54 So whoever wills may heed advice from it. 55 And what advice will they heed, except if Allah wills? Only He deserves to be feared, and His only is the greatness of forgiving. 56
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
