No! By the moon 32 And by oath of the night when it turns back. 33 And the dawn when it shineth forth, 34 Surely it (hell) is one of the gravest (misfortunes), 35 it is a warning to man, 36 Unto him of you who will advance or hang back. 37 Every soul will be a pledge for that which it hath earned, 38 Except those on the Right, (i.e. the pious true believers of Islamic Monotheism); 39 In Gardens they will question 40 concerning the sinners, 41 "What has brought you into hell-fire?" 42 They will say, "We were not of those who prayed, 43 and we did not feed the poor, 44 We plunged in with the plungers 45 and we cried lies to the Day of Doom, 46 till the certainty (death) overtook us' 47 So the intercession of intercessors shall not avail them. 48 Why now turn they away from the Admonishment, 49 As if they were startled donkeys – 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Forsooth, each one of them wants to be given scrolls (of revelation) spread out! 52 By no means! But they fear not the Hereafter, 53 Nay; this is an Exhortation. 54 Let him then who heeds remember it. 55 they will only take heed if God so wills: He is the Lord who is worthy to be feared: the Lord of forgiveness. 56
