Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah) before The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ No! I swear by the Day of Resurrection. 1 And I swear by the self-reproaching soul. 2 Does man think that We shall not gather his bones? 3 Yes, We are Able to put together in perfect order the tips of his fingers. 4 Aye! man desireth that he may sin before him. 5 He asketh: when will the Day of Resurrection be? 6 But [on that Day], when mortal sight is confounded, 7 and the moon is eclipsed, 8 And the sun and moon are joined together,- 9 On that day man will cry: Whither to flee! 10 No, there shall be no (place of) refuge. 11 For on that Day the refuge shall be to your Lord. 12 On that Day man will be informed of what he sent forward (of his evil or good deeds), and what he left behind (of his good or evil traditions). 13 In fact, people are well-aware of their own soul 14 even though they make excuses. 15 Stir not thy tongue herewith to hasten it. 16 Ours it is to gather it, and to recite it. 17 Therefore when We have recited it, follow its recitation. 18 We shall be responsible for its explanation. 19 Truly, you love immediate gain 20 And leave alone the Hereafter. 21 On that day, some faces will shine with freshness. 22 Looking at their Lord (Allah); 23 And that day will other faces be despondent, 24 In the thought that some back-breaking calamity was about to be inflicted on them; 25 No! When the soul has reached the collar bones 26 and when it is asked: "Could any magician save him now?"; 27 and he thinks that it is the parting 28 And the leg is wound about the leg, 29 That Day the Drive will be (all) to thy Lord! 30

Notes and Instructions
ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
