Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Nay, I swear by the Day of Resurrection; 1 No! I swear by the reproachful soul. 2 Does man think that We will not assemble his bones? 3 Yea! WE are Able to put together evenly his finger-tips. 4 Aye! man desireth that he may sin before him. 5 He asks, “When will be the Day of Resurrection?” 6 At length, when the sight is dazed, 7 and the moon eclipsed, 8 and the sun and the moon are joined together, 9 That Day will Man say: "Where is the refuge?" 10 Certainly not! There will be no place of refuge. 11 Before thy Lord (alone), that Day will be the place of rest. 12 To man will be declared on that Day that which he hath sent on and left behind. 13 He shall be a clear proof against himself, 14 Although he may put forth his pleas. 15 O dear Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), do not cause your tongue to move along with the Qur’an in order to learn it faster. 16 Surely its collection and recitation are Our responsibility. 17 But when We have promulgated it, follow thou its recital (as promulgated): 18 The exposition of its meaning surely rests on Us. 19 Human beings certainly do not want to pay much attention to the Quran. In fact, they love the worldly life 20 And neglect the hereafter. 21 Upon that day faces shall be radiant, 22 and look forward to receiving mercy from their Lord. 23 And [some] faces, that Day, will be contorted, 24 believing that a crushing calamity is about to strike them. 25 But, when (the soul) reaches the collar bone 26 And it is cried. who can charm? 27 And he will conclude that it was (the Time) of Parting; 28 And one shank is entangled with the other shank. 29 upon that day unto thy Lord shall be the driving. 30
