Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Nay, I swear by the Day of Resurrection; 1 And I swear by the self-reproaching person (a believer). 2 Do men think that We shall never be able to assemble their bones? 3 We certainly have the power to restore them even the very tips of their finger. 4 Nay! man desires to give the lie to what is before him. 5 He questions: "When is the Day of Resurrection?" 6 When, then, the sight shall be confounded. 7 the moon eclipsed. 8 And the sun and moon are joined together,- 9 On that day man will cry out, “Where shall I flee?” 10 No, there shall be no (place of) refuge. 11 On that day, the station is only towards your Lord. 12 Man shall on that day be informed of what he sent before and (what he) put off. 13 In fact, people are well-aware of their own soul 14 And even if he presents all the excuses he has, none will be listened to. 15 Move not thy tongue with it to hasten it; 16 Indeed assembling the Qur’an and reading it are upon Us. 17 So when We have read it, you should thereupon follow what is read. 18 Nay more, it is for Us to explain it (and make it clear): 19 Truly, you love immediate gain 20 and neglect the Hereafter. 21 Some faces, that Day, will beam (in brightness and beauty);- 22 gazing towards their Lord. 23 and upon that day faces shall be scowling, 24 so they might think the Calamity had been inflicted upon them. 25 NAY, but when [the last breath] comes up to the throat [of a dying man,] 26 and it is said, 'Who is an enchanter?' 27 and he thinks that it is the parting 28 and is enwrapped in the pangs of death 29 On that day, the herding will be only towards your Lord. 30
