Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah) before The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ No! I swear by the Day of Resurrection. 1 Nay, I swear by the accusing soul (that this Scripture is true). 2 Does man assume that We will never assemble his bones? 3 Yes indeed; We have the power to remould even his finger-tips. 4 But man desires to persist in his evil ways. 5 He asks: "When will be this Day of Resurrection?" 6 But [on that Day], when mortal sight is confounded, 7 and the moon is eclipsed, 8 and the sun and the moon are brought together, 9 On that Day man will say: "Where (is the refuge) to flee?" 10 But there is nowhere to take refuge: 11 on that Day, to your Lord alone is the recourse. 12 To man will be declared on that Day that which he hath sent on and left behind. 13 But lo, man is well aware of himself, 14 even though he offers his excuses. 15 Do not move your tongue with it (the Revelation) to hasten it. 16 Ours it is to gather it, and to recite it. 17 And so when We recite it, follow its recitation attentively; 18 Then it is for Us (Allah) to make it clear to you, 19 Not [as you think, that you (mankind) will not be resurrected and recompensed for your deeds], but (you men) love the present life of this world, 20 And you have forsaken the Hereafter. 21 How many faces will be refulgent on that Day, 22 Looking at their Lord. 23 And [some] faces, that Day, will be contorted, 24 In the thought that some back-breaking calamity was about to be inflicted on them; 25 Some people, certainly, do not believe in it, but when a person's soul reaches up to his throat 26 And there will be a cry, "Who is a magician (to restore him)?" 27 And he will realise that this is the parting. 28 And anguish will be heaped upon anguish: 29 To your Lord on that day shall be the driving. 30

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
