Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection. 1 And I call the reprehensive soul to witness: 2 Do men think that We shall never be able to assemble their bones? 3 Yes, We are Able to put together in perfect order the tips of his fingers. 4 Rather, the human desires to continue in his immorality, 5 He questions: "When is the Day of Resurrection?" 6 So when the sight becomes dazed, 7 and the moon is eclipsed, 8 And the sun and the moon will be united. 9 on that Day will man exclaim "Whither to flee?" 10 Certainly not! There will be no place of refuge. 11 On that day, the station is only towards your Lord. 12 On that day, man will be informed of all what he sent ahead and left behind. 13 Nay, man will be evidence against himself, 14 even though he may veil himself in excuses. 15 Do not move your tongue with it (the Revelation) to hasten it. 16 Surely on Us (devolves) the collecting of it and the reciting of it. 17 When We recite it, follow its recitation (by Us). 18 and then, behold, it will be for Us to make its meaning clear. 19 No! But you love the immediate 20 And neglect the Hereafter. 21 Some faces will on that Day be bright with happiness, 22 looking up to their Sustainer; 23 And (other) faces on that day shall be gloomy, 24 Expecting that there will be done to them [something] backbreaking. 25 NAY, but when [the last breath] comes up to the throat [of a dying man,] 26 And men say: Where is the wizard (who can save him now)? 27 (the angels of mercy or the angels of wrath,)" then, he will realize that it is time to leave this world. 28 And the leg is wound about the leg, 29 To your Lord, that Day, will be the procession. 30
