Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); 1 which then blow tempestuously 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 and those hurling a reminder 5 excusing or warning, 6 BEHOLD, all that you are told to expect will surely come to pass. 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 To the day of decision. 13 And what will make you comprehend what the day of decision is? 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Did We not destroy many a nation of the earlier times? 16 Then We will follow them with the later ones. 17 Thus deal We ever with the guilty. 18 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 For a known period (determined by gestation)? 22 Thus have We determined [the nature of man's creation]: and excellent indeed is Our power to determine [what is to be]! 23 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle. 25 Of the living and the dead? 26 place on it high mountains and provide you with fresh water? 27 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 28 Depart to that you cried was lies! 29 Proceed to a shadow rising in three columns: 30 unshading against the blazing flame 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 and as bright as a herd of yellow camels. 33 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 34 This is the Day they shall not speak, 35 nor will they be allowed to proffer excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 37 This is the Day of Decision; We have gathered you and all the earlier men. 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 40
